Each autumn in Paris brings its share of beautiful surprises. By staying at a Yuna residence, you will be closer to the exhibition venues that will be making the biggest impact this autumn. Here is a quick overview…
Art in all its forms
Travel through time and amidst artistic inspirations when you visit this autumn’s exhibitions. Let’s begin with the Musée de Cluny. Recently reopened, it offers an ambitious look at the style of architecture known as Southern French Gothic, with a particular focus on Toulouse in the 14th century. Meanwhile, the Musée du Luxembourg is presenting a selection of the objects and artworks collected by the prince electors of Saxony between the 16th and 18th centuries. Unusual or aesthetic, original or simply pure magnificence, these ‘Masterpieces from the Dresden Cabinet of Curiosities’ all have a story to tell. Finally, finish with a good dose of contemporary art with the magnificent retrospective devoted to Gérard Garouste at the Centre Pompidou.
Art, dialogue and awareness
The Louis Vuitton Foundation is offering an enlightening dialogue between the works of Claude Monet and Joan Mitchell, while the Musée Picasso looks at the links between the works of the contemporary artist Farah Atassi and those of the legendary Spanish artist who inspires her. Finally, women are the focus of several autumn exhibitions. ‘Parisian Citizens!’ at the Musée Carnavalet retraces the fight for the emancipation of women between 1789 and 2000. The work of women war photographers is on show at the Musée de la Liberation, while at the Musée de l'Homme, Lekha Sing offers a series of portraits showing that ‘Women Carry the World’.
Major institutions as well as lesser-known venues in Paris offer a wealth of exhibition choices this autumn. Create your dream itinerary for your stay in one of the capital's Yuna residences and experience the cultural richness of Paris.
